a Place Where No One Goes
For all these years of work and woe,
what do all my efforts show?
Torment answers, now I know:
I’ve reached the place where no one goes.
the Path Starts Here
Have thou something?
Fear thou death?
Then thou have not known life, as yet.
Futility
Before we wander far afield,
Futility takes up her shield,
and whither gone or whence we’ve come,
to her we each and all succumb.
Tick Tock
Click-and-clacking, ants are we.
In metered step. In perfect key.
Snick-and-snacking, mindless flies.
We scent the stench. We dine and die.
Fear of the Beast
Enmity and gnashing teeth
are all we know of the raging Beast.
Mankind, he cowers. His children weep.
It's time to put the Beast to sleep.
by Tooth and Nail
What have we left, if not the Truth?
The Devil drags us, Nail and Tooth.
Our Pride we dress in Filth and Rags;
by Tooth and Nail the Devil drags.
Life Screams in Pain
Death is her husband -
yes, Life is a wife
in bitterest marriage
of matter to mind.
I Carry a Burden
I stood among liars and charted my path
their words for my guidance, their stares at my back
Let it trouble you none that I walk with a mask
I carry the burden
that you wouldn't have
